Long-form captures of V8 and Mini Stock races recorded from multiple perspectives and microphones: mono (MKH 416), stereo (EM258 pair), and wide stereo (Sony D100) giving you three distinct sonic flavors from the same event. Use them as isolated point-source elements or layer the different characters together for a fuller, more dimensional race environment.

• Staging Area: 24 files
  Cars lined up and idling before races, mixed with distant races on the track. Available in mono, stereo, and wide stereo.

• Pit: 23 files
  Ambience recordings from the pit area: car warm-ups, revving, mechanical activity, and the surrounding crowd and announcer bleed. Mono, stereo, and wide stereo captures.

• Misc: 18 files
  Bonus event atmosphere that doesn’t fit neatly anywhere else: Crowd cheers at the end of the race, a food kiosk fan exhaust recorded on site, and a weighing station area with close-up race car engine rumbles.

The contents in UE is sorted by many different categories and folders. While it is very organized and named very well, maybe it might be TOO organized? I cannot recommend this sound pack enough!

As a quick disclaimer: I was fortunate enough to have received this asset for free from the developer, however after testing all of the sounds out, I can safely say that I would have been just as pleased if I had paid full price for it!

Each of the 11 monsters included in this sound pack depict a different, unique monster, and that was crucial for my game. The different actions per monster include attacking, breathing, calling, growling, roaring and feeding, and the tonnes of sound effects per action allow you to alternate randomly between them for a nice variety.

With regards to the bonus content, I’ll definitely be using the the 28 large monster roars and other sound effects for my boss fights! The medieval tracks were also a pleasant surprise! 🙂

All in all an amazing pack you should definitely consider purchasing if you’re in need of high quality sound effects for monsters in your game!

EDIT: I’d like this review to be as honest as possible, and so, after spending a long time with all the sound effects, there are some issues I have: – Some monsters don’t have all the actions included (roar as an example), and this was a problem for my game. – I found that the breathing sound effects weren’t that great. I’ve instead combined certain breathing sounds and calls to make an “Ambient” folder of sound effects (much like how cows “moo” or zombies “groan”).“
